Goal - Inspirational Story

 Goal - Inspirational Story

There was a very famous king. Very brave, very strong, very mighty. The king was expanding his kingdom by conquering new states with his bravery.

Goal - Inspirational Story

He had no shortage of wealth, army, land, and fame. Despite all this, the only thing the king lacked was that he had no children.

The king adopted every method he could to get a child. Vaidya and Hakim got everyone treated. Prayers were sought everywhere in temples and mosques. Did many yatras and performed many havan sacrifices. Eventually, a son was born in his house.

The happiness of having a child was so much to that king that he did not get such happiness even in winning any state. To share this happiness with the people of his kingdom, the king announced that the next day at 9:00 am he would open the doors of his palace to the people, and whatever the person lays his hands on would be given to him.

Like a forest fire, this news spread throughout the kingdom. Discussions about this started happening in the entire state. People formed a group and discussed with each other and started making plans as to which things they would put their hands on. Someone says that he will keep his hand on the horse. Some say on the elephant, some say on the chariot, and some say that he will put his hand on precious diamonds and jewels. Someone says that he will lay his hands on the king's palace. People have decided according to their own that which things they will touch and make their own.

A small family also lived in the king's kingdom. Parents and an 8-year-old child. When this thing was being discussed everywhere, curiosity arose in that child's mind and he told his parents you will also take me to the king's palace tomorrow. I also want something. The child's parents explained a lot to him that you are still young. What do you mean by all this? But the child started insisting. Front to the stubbornness of the child, his parents accepted defeat and it was decided to take the child there too.

The next day at 9:00 am the gates of the king's palace was opened as per the king's order. Thousands of people were already present there. As soon as the doors opened everyone entered inside and started making it their own by putting their hands on every precious thing.

There was also an 8-year-old child in this crowd who had come with his parents. The child got rid of his parents in the crowd and disappeared somewhere. Not finding the child with them, his parents got very upset and started looking for him here and there. After a while, the parents saw that their child was running fast and going straight toward the king's throne. The child reached the king's throne and the child directly put his hand on the king and shouted that from today this king is mine and with it all the subjects.

Friends, this small inspirational story teaches us a big lesson in life. We keep running after the transitory and perishable things throughout our life. We think that by getting these things, we will get happiness, we will get happiness. And by thinking like this, we forget the indestructible power that has created us all and having whom we can be blessed.

Take some time out of the useless race of your life and think carefully that the things for which you are running so much, is this the goal of your life? Are we chasing some small and false goal? Which won't last long! Should we run blindly after such things which will end one day?
