Short Bedtime story 2020

One day, after finishing his work, he was taking some rest. At the same time, he saw a horrific snake raising his fang near the sand dune. Brahmin thought that this is the god of this area, and because of not worshipping him his efforts are not being successful.

There, brahmin decides to worship him, and he went straight to his home, and came with a bowl full of milk. Putting the bowl in front of the Snake god, he said - 'O king of gods! Till today, I did not worship or remember you. Please forgive my crime and do me a favor by accepting some milk'. After an observation in this way for some time, the farmer put the pot full of milk there, and went from there.

Next day, in the morning, when the farmer came there to take the pot, there was no height of his amazement. The bowl was put at the same place, and instead of milk, there were gold coins in it!

Now, this became a daily job of the brahmin. In this manner, gradually, he became rich. One day, circumstantially, brahman had to go to another town due to some work. He called his son and said - 'Son! Due to some work I am going to another town. There should not come any reduction in the worship of the Snake god, therefore, You will daily go and put a bowl full of milk near the sand dune in the evening. And in the morning, you will pick up the bowl from there. You will be getting gold coins in that. This only is the blessing of Snake god for us'. By the order of father, the brahmin's son took a bowl full of milk and put it near the sand dune, as the evening came.

In the morning as he went to pick up the bowl, there were gold coins in it. Subjugated by the greed, the brahmin's son thought that there is definitely gold coins filled under the sand dune. and this snake, after emptying the milk-filled bowl, takes one gold coin from that treasure and puts it into the empty bowl. So, in order to get rid of this daily mess, why should not I get all the gold coins at once, by killing the snake?

As soon as this delusion came in his mind, the brahmin's son brought a thick stick from his home. But as he wished to kill the snake, the snake reverted and bit the guy, due to which he died instantly. and turned lifeless.

The brahman heard of his son's death on his comeback to home. He got upset and started crying. But as he learned the cause of his son's death, he said with an upset heart - 'Death is innocent, my son himself invited the death'. he said with an upset heart - 'Death is innocent, my son himself invited the death'. Next day, in the evening, the brahman went near the sand dune with a bowl full of milk and started praying to the snake god. But the snake did not come out of the pit. 'O Snake god! Are you angry with me? Please come out of your pit and see - as usual, I have brought a bowl full of milk for you', the Brahmin said. Without coming out of the pit, the snake said - 'Brahman sire! forgetting the grief of your son, you have come to me in greed, but now our friendship cannot continue. Your son tried to kill me in his greed. And in order to do my defend my life, I bit him. Now, neither you can forget the grief of your son nor I can forget the attack of stick'. 'And then, except being a Brahman, you are a human also - and this has also been said, that snake's bitten can be cured but there is not cure for the human bite this is why, you please go now. From today onwards, our friendship is over', said the snake and became silent, On listening to the snake's words, the Brahman regretted the death of his son life as well as his stupidity, and returned to his home.
