once upon a time there was a small boy living in a city with his father and mom. The boy's name is Kiro. It is a city full of hi-tech buildings and shopping malls. People lost the habit of planting trees in the city, shows a big no to trees.
Kiro's father is a general manager of a company and his mother as a software engineer. His father spent most of his time on the smartphone managing his clients and his mom on her laptop and the time they spent with Kiro reduced as days passed by.
his parents soon forgot how happy it is to spend time with their child. Money blindsided both of them. television became the only friend of Kiro and that too became very boring for Kiro within a few weeks. Kiro's parents appointed a maid to take care of him. Kiro's school was just a mile away from his home. He walks to his school with his maid on one such day. Kiro saw an old man sitting on the side of the road with a small bag. Kiro went to the old man and asked him what is there in his bag. The old man told him he has seeds of his mango tree.
Kiro was very curious and he haven't seen a tree before in his city life so he asked the old man if he could get a seed from him? The old man made Kiro swear that he should grow the seed into a big tree. Kiro promised the old man and got the seed from him and happily went to his school!
Kiro could not control his curiosity during his breaks he opened his school bag and see the seed and imagined what would be the tree look like. His imaginations showed him a lot of things on that evening. His maid came and picked him from his school. When Kiro reached home. He was surprised to see both his father and mom at home very early it was Kiro's birthday! they had bought a cake.
Kiro's parents asked him to make a wish and cut his cake. Kiro wished to plant tree. surprised to see kiro's wish. they asked about the seed. Kiro explained how he met an old man and how he got the seed from him. Understanding Kiro's wishes and happiness Kiro's parents decided to help him grow to seed. They plan to do this on the coming Sunday, Kiro waited eagerly for that day and Sunday came.
Kiro woke up very early in the morning and he also woke up his mom and dad. Seeing Kiro's bright and energetic face both of them got up. They searched for a place to plant the seed and the backside of the apartment seemed like a good place. Kiro's father dug up a big hole and his mother who helped with the fencing. Kiro put the seed into the hole and covered it with mud.
His parents gave the responsibility of watering his plant so Kiro woke up daily and watered his plants before going to school. He felt very happy doing it. Two weeks went and still, Kiro could not see any sapling from the mud. He asked his parents why his tree is not coming out of the mud? His parents smiled and told him that he needs to have patience so Kiro waited patiently and he did not give up on his small tree.
One evening there was very heavy rain and Kiro was not afraid of the thunder and lightning. He is a very brave boy, He played in the rain for some time and went to bed. The next morning, the sky was very clear and it was very shiny. Kiro woke up and went to water his plant he saw cracks in his mud and small green protruding from the earth! Kiro became very happy and his patience was rewarded by God. He immediately got his mom and dad to see his small tree. Kiro's father and mother have never seen Kiro this much happier in their entire life they congratulated Kiro for his patience and not giving up on his small tree. Kiro was very happy hearing his mom and dad with a smiling face.
He went to school and told the entire school about his achievement. The next day he bought his friends to his home to show his small tree. Kiro was very happy from that day onwards. Each time a new leaf grows in his tree Kiro discovered the new feeling in himself! Days passed by and years passed by now the small tree is a big tree and our small Kiro is a man now, and he got married. The tree bears a lot of fruit. Even now after waking up, Kiro would come and see his tree. He would see the parrot singing and squirrel eating the mangoes.
Kiro becomes old day by day but the love in pride in his heart grew with the tree every day. whenever Kiro touches the tree he feels so happy that he could never describe. Kiro wanted to spread his happiness to all the children so he gave seeds and saplings to all the neighbors. Soon the entire city became green in color! With full of love and kindness, he could see and hear bird sounds in the morning and he was able to breathe in the fresh air.
Kiro would often think, it was all thanks to the old man he met when he was a child. Kiro not only spreads this to his neighborhood but also to his grandchildren as well Kiro is now no more but when his grandchildren seek Kiro's tree they feel like they are near Kiro himself and gives a hug to their tree. Kiro decided to spread his happiness by planting a tree so will you plant a tree for your child?
