Short Motivational Story
There was a kingdom in South India. This kingdom was slightly smaller than the rest of the kingdoms in terms of army, expansion and wealth. The king here used to take care of his people very well. He makes sure that everyone in his kingdom is always happy and prosperous.

Due to the lack of military force, the neighboring kings often attacked this kingdom and tried to grab it, but the soldiers who loved the king and the kingdom faced them with their lives and saved their kingdom.
Once a kingdom with 10 times bigger military force announced an attack on this kingdom! Because of this, the courage of the brave soldiers of this kingdom paid off. The king started getting worried seeing his soldiers so scared.
The king thought a lot about this in a meeting with his commander. The king asked the commander for a solution to this problem. The king was stunned and disheartened to see that even the commander of his army was talking of giving up and surrendering in fear of this incident. According to him, it is better to accept defeat and compromise with the king in front than to lose the lives of soldiers by facing such a huge army!
Disappointed by the attitude of his soldiers and generals, the king goes to his sanyasi guru and informs him about the whole situation. After understanding the king's words and problems, the Guru tells him that first of all put that commander in jail who accepted defeat without fighting!
The king said if he does so then who will lead his army? Guru said that I also live in this kingdom and now I have also got the opportunity to repay the debt of my kingdom, so I am ready to lead the army!
However, the king could not understand that how can a monk guru who has never fought any war lead the army? But seeing no other way, the king agreed.
The Guru proceeded to battle with his desperate army. While walking, the army reached near a temple. Guru stopped the army there and said, all of you stay here, I go to this temple and ask God whether we will be able to win this war or not?
All the soldiers felt strange after listening to their new commander, some soldiers asked him how the stone statue kept in this temple will tell you about our defeat or victory?
Guru said that I have attained some divine powers by doing penance during the life of a monk, with the help of which I can talk to God! Saying this he went inside the temple.
When the Guru returned after a few minutes, the soldiers asked him
What answer did God give?
Guru said, God has said that if you see any light in the temple then your victory is sure.
Now all the soldiers stopped near that temple and started looking towards the temple in the hope that they would see some light there. They all sat there the whole day and finally in the evening they saw a light inside the temple!
All the soldiers cheered and went to war with a new confidence. This war was not easy but all the soldiers were so confident that no one was ready to give up! After a long war of 21 days, the brave soldiers of this small kingdom defeated an army many times bigger than theirs.
While returning back to his kingdom after the victory, he came across the same temple on the way. The soldiers asked the Guru that he should say thanks to God. Because God had assured them of this victory by showing them the light!
Guru told his soldiers that there is no need for it because that light was of a lamp which he had lit there during the day. No one could see the light of the lamp during the day because of the sunlight, but as soon as the sun set, everyone could see the light of the lamp!
An impossible task also became possible due to the wisdom and intelligence of the Guru. All the soldiers and the king expressed their gratitude to the Guru.
Friends, this motivational story is definitely about a king, soldier or guru, but the biggest hero in it is self-confidence. If you have confidence then every difficult task is easy for you. That's why friends always keep faith in yourself.
